Child Labour Policy

  As a corporate policy, Sahil Surgical (Pvt) Ltd does not engage, employ, support, or allow the use of Child Labour at any of it workplaces.

Documented procedure P.1 elaborates this Child Labour Remediation Policy of Sahil Surgical (Pvt) Ltd, which includes the commitment for financial and other support to enable such found Children to attend and remain in school till their Childhood.

Sahil Surgical (Pvt) Ltd ensures that this Remediation policy and procedures are effectively communicated to all Personnel and Interested Parties of Sahil Surgical (Pvt) Ltd.

1.2.   Sahil Surgical (Pvt) Ltd does not engage, employ, support, or allow the use of Young Workers for employment on its own role.

Although not encouraged, suppliers/ subcontractors of Sahil Surgical (Pvt) Ltd may employ Young Workers, if unavoidable, provided all the following conditions are strictly fulfilled.

  1. No Young Worker is engaged at the expense of his/her education;
  2. If pursuing education, the Young Worker is engaged only after his/her school hours.
  3. The total work, schooling, and transportation time of the Young Worker does not exceed a combined total of 10 hours per day;
  4. No female Young Worker is engaged during night hours; and
  5. Male Young Worker is engaged during night hours only at his consent

 

1.3.   Sahil Surgical (Pvt) Ltd ensures that Children and Young persons are not exposed to any situation – in or outside Sahil Surgical (Pvt) Ltd’s workplace – that may be hazardous and /or unsafe for their physical and mental health and development.
